Brass Tacks features an array of outdoor seating options from a sprawling 1000+ square foot patio to a unique and intimate back alley oasis.
The 1930’s in Houston brought huge growth and development to the City. The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo made its debut, Houston Junior College became the University of Houston and Francis Oliver moved his armature business to their new location at 612 Live Oak. Designed by S.R. Slaughter, a Rice University educated architect, the building was completed in December of 1938 and the Oliver family continued operating for over 40 years.
East Downtown Houston is the Art & Soul of Houston! EaDo is a vibrant neighborhood rich with history, interesting sites, thriving businesses, entertainment, and the best of downtown living. EaDo is remarkably situated in the heart of Houston and near Houston’s largest employment centers. With access to great neighborhood amenities, all of the major freeways, major thoroughfares, METRO Transit, and METRO Light Rail (LRT) Red Line, connectivity to all points of interest in the Houston area is convenient.
